		<description>It would be intriguing to see the approach the indie labels are taking towards this stuff. 

You always have to expect that major labels will take every single cent they can from their artist, because they plan on that artist selling at least platinum, and with majors currently in the worst position they have been, they have to create new ways to generate revenue. Although if the majors are now making the move towards claiming control on merch, websites, digital sales etc. then will the indies, who are traditionally geared towards artist freedom and development, do the same to keep up? 

From an artist point of view, it applies alot more pressure at the major label level to succeed which in my opinion can only reduce the integrity of the music. 

Once again Jason, the music business mind fighting with the music fan /artist mind, I guess they are natural rivals.</description>
