Turn YOU Into Your Career.

Late last night something fairly profound came to me.

Lately I’ve given a lot of thought to what it takes to find a career that truly works for you. Not just a job, and not a career that you do simply because it’s what is in front of you. I’ve mentioned the concept before of Job vs. Career, and now I am taking it a step further.

Far too few people actually take an introspective look inside themselves to determine their strengths, weaknesses, hobbies, interests, and desires when it comes to looking for work. This is unfortunate, as I feel the easiest way to find a career path is to figure out what you are naturally inclined to do, and find a way to make money. In other words –

Take a long, hard, objective look at yourself and determine what traits you inherently possess that can be used to build a living.

It’s an even bigger bonus of your natural abilities and interests are in line with what you think you’d like to do for work. I find a number of people in the music industry have this collaboration of skills and passion.
